This past trip was my first time in Liberia. I was amazed by the first village we went to because of how deep they were in the bush but also how joyful they were despite their living circumstances. As we gave each child a backpack, their faces lit up and showed the joy they expressed in their hearts. Now this was amazing to see. But as I reflected on my first experience in a village like this, I realized that we not only gave them backpacks that brought their hearts so much joy and excitement, but we got to share with them that your true joy is found only in Jesus Christ. Thinking about this made me overwhelmed with joy that we get to talk to people about the Treasure.

Traveling to Liberia with Containers of Hope was one of the best experiences of my life. Many days we would travel 4-5 hours deep in the bush to pass out backpacks full of supplies to unreached villages that were deep into witchcraft. We were able to play with the children and talk with these wonderful people of Liberia. Our goal was to give them much needed supplies and give them hope by sharing the treasure of Jesus and his saving grace. In the end we passed out 600 plus backpacks that had Bibles, school supplies, soccer balls, toys, etc. and touched many hearts.
