The bridge to the Jana L. Williams educational Foundation school is being completed, allowing for students to attend during the rainy season when this area is a runaway river. We are honored to support the building of this new school helping to educate these beautiful children in a remote area of Liberia. Pastor Mark Jallawide and his wife, Doris, have worked hard to register and organize the Jana L Williams Educational Foundation reaching children in an area where school was not easily accessible. With their first school year complete, we pray God will continue to bless their progress and continue to bring in the resources needed to grow. Well done Mark and Doris! God is using you in mighty ways.
After classroom observations and a teachers seminar it was clear to us that the children who attended The Lord's Prayer Children's Academy were having a difficult time learning. Stifling heat, humidity, lack of sleep, and proper nutrition were all contributing factors. 6 years ago we implemented a Feeding Program giving the students at TLPA a healthy meal to help them through their day. Many times this meal is the only one they have each day. Thanks to our donors we have continued this program and expanded it this year to feed every student in attendance. Praise God for His faithfulness!
With a grateful heart, I do represent the entire family at The Lord’s Prayer Orphanage and overwhelmingly extend our greatest appreciation for the love shown over the school year (2021/2022).
Thank you for the scholarship program. Such blessing enabled my kids (TLP Kids) to also gain corruption free education. It is so painful nowadays to see what this beloved Country, Liberia, is facing. To be real with you, it seems as if Liberia has gone backward some 150 years. It is sad but real. Many days, I get confused over the future of my beloved children; whom we have worked so hard to give a better future. Please join me in prayer; the reality on the ground is serious and it needs serious prayers. Officially the school year is done; July 30, 2022. The Government wants us to start the new school year; next month, September 2022. That means October 1, 2022; we will be back in business at the school. With such short notice, we are back on our feet and we are praying for God’s hands in this new coming school year….2022/2023. Thank you for sponsoring the scholarship program. Each kid you sponsored, you gave them the blessed hope, to become someone tomorrow; for a better future. You may not know the depth of what this scholarship means for me and the huge work it did at The Lord’s Prayer Orphanage; it was huge. The off campus kids (Community Kids) were blessed; moreover, the kids at The Lord’s Prayer Orphanage were more blessed to remain in school. Thank you! Love you and God bless! John Kepo Kpewoan General Overseer The Lord’s Prayer Ministries With a country that has been without power since the 14 year civil war that began in 1989, we are happy to announce the lights are finally on at The Lord's Prayer Orphanage and Academy! During the war the rebel soldiers stripped the power lines of all its valuable metals leaving the country in the dark. With an 85% unemployment rate, most do not have the means to run a generator. And with gas prices at their highest in history, Liberia has not been spared. Thank you to our faithful donors. Hello. We appreciate you and look forward to sharing stories and keeping you up to date with Containers of Hope.
